The 5th edition of Corpus Linguistics & Applied Linguistics research online event is happening during November 2025.
The 2025 edition is devoted to the impact of AI on corpus linguistics. This edition will be funded by Universidad de Murcia and The Education University of Hong Kong. The confirmed speakers for this 2025 edition are the following:
–Dr. Lisa Cheung , The University of Hong Kong & Dr Peter Crosthwaite, The University of Queensland: 3 November.
–Prof Qing Ma, The Education University of Hong Kong, 11 Novemeber.
–Prof Laurence Anthony, Waseda University, 25 November.
–Prof Atsushi Mizumoto, Kansai University, Osaka, 27 November.
All talks to take place at 10:00 am (London), 11:00 am (Madrid/Paris/Rome), 18:00 ( Hong Kong), 19:00 (Tokyo), 20:00 (Brisbane)

Since 2021, we’ve invited key researchers in corpus linguistics and applied linguistics to discuss their research. Over 5,000 have registered for the online talks, and 1k have subscribed to our YouTube channel, where you can find all the talks.

This 2025 edition is coordinated by Prof Pascual Pérez-Paredes, and the Deputy Coordinator is Dr Pilar Aguado. Prof Qing Ma coordinates the talks hosted by The Education University of Hong Kong.
